Ms. Juliana Garcia is an experienced immigration attorney with Gomez and Associates. Ms. Garcia attended the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008 where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology. Ms. Garcia is a 2012 graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served as President of USF Law La Raza Law Students Association and was a member of the USF Employment Law Clinic. She was the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in Immigration Law. While in law school, Ms. Garcia interned for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles adjudicating U-Visa and VAWAs and also interned with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund where she focused on immigrant rights impact litigation. Ms. Garcia’s publications include “Invisible Behind a Bandana: U-Visa Solution for Sexual Harassment of Female Farmworkers,” 46 U.S.F. L. Rev. 855. Before joining Gomez & Associates, she was an Immigration Associate at Armando Villegas and Associates where she managed a high volume of cases and represented clients in removal proceedings before EOIR and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ms. Garcia represents clients in numerous immigration matters including, but not limited to, deportation defense before the Immigration Court, family petitions, and adjustment of status, DACA, U-Visa, 601A waivers, NACARA, and TPS. Ms. Garcia was admitted to the California State Bar, the Central District of California in 2012.
