She also represented clients before the Immigration Courts, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth, Eighth and Fifth Circuit Court.
In 1999 Ms. Diaz graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2002, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern School of Law.
Ms. Diaz has always had a strong commitment to servicing impoverished communities. Ms. Diaz routinely discounts fees for many clients, and also represents many clients on a pro bono basis. Ms. Diaz’ effectiveness in these cases is evidenced by the declarations of her clients, and the recognition of her outstanding efforts in these areas by Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc.
Additionally, since 2007 Ms. Diaz has been providing free legal advice on a monthly basis to La Placita Church, Our Lady Queen of the Angels.
