Attorney Maribel Reynoso practices Immigration law in Long Beach, California. She is a member of the State Bar of California. She was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 and admitted to practice law before the United States District Court Central District of California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Attorney Reynoso graduated from UCLA in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Women’s Studies, and a Specialization in Chicana and Chicano Studies. She understands well the issues confronting the Latino Community, the Gay and Lesbian Community and issues affecting Women. Upon graduation she attended the California State University Long Beach where she was working on her Master’s degree. Ms. Reynoso then left California and attended the University of Kansas School of Law. During that time, she completed two Study Abroad programs in Cuernavaca, Mexico where she interned with the Civil and Criminal Court in Morelos, Mexico. She graduated from the University of Kansas with her J.D. in May 2001.
During her time in law school, Ms. Reynoso interned with the Law Office of Andres Bustamante and with the HIV Legal Services Alliance (HALSA). Both internships resulted in job offers and Attorney Reynoso later worked with the Law Office of Andres Bustamante specializing in immigration and criminal law.
Upon her departure from that firm, Attorney Reynoso was hired to be the Immigration Staff Attorney at HALSA. During that time she helped individuals with their immigration status and citizenship. Upon her departure, Attorney Reynoso was employed by the Law Office of Enrique Arevalo where she continued to represent individuals before USCIS, EOIR, BIA and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Attorney Reynoso opened her firm in 2007 in Long Beach, California. She continues to represent individuals in immigration matters. Her commitment to her community and to help the most vulnerable has never wavered. She is the Los Angeles County Bar Pro Bono Representation Panel Coordinator since 2008. She volunteers her time at the Los Angeles Immigration Court as well as the Long Beach Immigrant Rights Coalition, NALEO, Los Angeles County Bar Association and various other community organizations.
