Andres Bustamante graduated from Peoples College of Law and began to practice law in 1990. He has devoted his life to representing the under-represented immigrant community. His impeccable practice ethic has rewarded him with various awards including the 1988 Carol King Award (Orantes-Hernandez Litigation Team), the 1994 Wiley Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services and the 2004 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) Award, to name a few. In 1997, Bustamante formed part of the Legal Team that represented world-renown scholar and writer, Professor Rodolfo Acuña in a discrimination lawsuit against U.C. Santa Barbara. Bustamante has won various ground-breaking cases with the ninth circuit court of appeals. Currently, Bustamante has continued to devote his time, knowledge and experience as of Counsel to the Mexican Consulates of Los Angeles, Santa Ana and Oxnard.
